In April 2019, LEW Grimsby donated electrical products to the show to support a family in Scunthorpe in need of life-changing transformation to their home, as part of the BBC flagship home renovation show DIY SOS: The big build.

Grimsby LEW Branch Manager Paul Courtley and Group Manager Josh Johnson went along to support the project, alongside Grimsby based D.Williams Electrical Services and Doncaster based Fitz Electrical, key customers of LEW Electrical Distributors.

The show went live on BBC One on Thursday 19th November at 8pm, and can be found on the iPlayer. DIY SOS is a programme that has been running for 19 years, and focuses on families that need to transform their home. In some cases these families maybe unable to do so.

Presented by Nick Knowles, the show pulls in around 5 million viewers. The award winning show takes on 9 big builds a year, attempting to get work completed on people’s homes in a very tight time frame. All the community pulls together with various tradespeople to provide a home renovation to a deserving family.
