It was the Electrical Wholesaler Awards last night and LEW won all three awards we were voted in for the first time in our history.
We were successful in the following categories:
- Best Wholesaler (branches 2-25)
- Best Individual Branch Award (LEW Barnsley)
- Best Customer Service Award.
Firstly, many thanks to everyone who voted for us in these three categories. It really means the world to us that you took the time to vote for us!
All three awards were decided by an expert judging panel using a strict criteria. Judges looked out for a diverse and innovative stock range, quality customer service and unique initiatives taken place across the year to deal with challenges presented to the industry.
Winning these three awards are testament to the hard work and dedication of staff in all our branches and head offices. This is in addition to the determination to always putting the customer first in everything we do.
We nominated Barnsley as our branch for Best Individual Branch, which was a tough choice. All our branches over the past year have performed exceptionally well so choosing one was incredibly hard. LEW Barnsley over the past 12 months have gone from strength to strength, and winning this award highlights the fine work Branch Manager Ben Jones and his team have done. They have become our third Hub branch for Inter-branch deliveries as well as quadrupling their size which included a state of the art training centre!
For the Best Customer Service Award, we were asked to submit an example of excellent customer service and going the extra mile. We’ve had several cases of this across our branches, and once again this was tough. The story we submitted was at our Warrington branch, where our Van driver Matt risked his own Christmas Dinner to help out a customer by travelling via Ferry to Belfast on Christmas Eve.
