So we’ve reached the end of 2022! It’s been a busy year for our branches and head office! We would like to thank all our customers and suppliers for their support over the past 12 months.

Here’s our year in review!

We had a busy start to the year with our Love your Apprentice which was won by our Hull customer, Billy Richardson of Head-on Electrical.

This resulted in our highest engagement of any social media post throughout the year. We got some great entries and we look forward to running the competition in 2023.

In March, we celebrated our Grimsby branch turning 20 and included a refit which meant the trade counter tripled.

Events

In April, LEW York celebrated a year being in business with their Trade Show, which was attended in huge numbers.

We welcomed back training events again, Aico put on a training session at LEW Warrington. We look forward to using training more both internally and externally.  You will remember we have 4 training centres in Barnsley, Bury, Gainsborough & Grimsby, so we will look forward to using these going forwards!

New Branches

In October, Our 16th Branch was launched in Stockton. Led by Graham Cousins and assisted by Mike Waggott, this was the first branch in the north east.

We look forward to seeing how this branch grows and develops over the coming year!

Awards

It’s been another successful year for LEW, receiving the AWEBB Member of the Year for the 11th year running.

In addition to this, we also won Wholesaler of the Year in the category of 6-25 branches at the Electrical Wholesale Awards in October.

Employee Experience

We had several examples of staff progression this year!

Mark Tomassi became Assistant Manager at LEW Hull

Luke Stanger moved up from Assistant Manager at LEW Gainsborough to become Branch Manager at LEW Peterborough

Mike Doherty moved up from Assistant Manager at LEW Warrington to become their Branch Manager, with Stuart Kay replacing him as Assistant Manager.

Customer Services Manager at LEW Grimsby Dave Jarrett became LEW Doncaster Branch Manager.

We also had movement at LEW Wakefield where Simon Mort moved from Warehouse Manager to Sales Account Manager.

We always look to promote from within here at LEW and this will continue throughout 2022!

We also had our apprentice cohort this year, and this is something we will continue to develop during 2023!

Final word

Many thanks to all our customers for their support this year! Have a great Christmas!
