Here’s a shout-out to Lisa Pitelen of LEW Stockton for going above and beyond for our customers. Working closely with key suppliers, Lisa was able to smash it and deliver a first class Customer Experience.

D M Glass for Lanchester Wines (GreenCroft) came to Lisa with a plan to make the UK’s most sustainable wine bottling facility, powered by renewable wind and solar energy. The unit is a £21million building, and is more than 22,000 square metres (around 240,000 square feet, equivalent to about four football pitches). This will more than double the potential capacity at Greencroft Bottling to up to 400 million litres per year, which is equivalent to around a quarter (28%) of all wine sold in the UK.

It is estimated that, overall (new solar and existing on-site wind turbines combined), the business could generate up to 8 million KiloWatt hours per year of clean, renewable energy.

LEW worked closely with several suppliers to bring the project home as close to the concept and within budget. LEW Stockton provided almost all of the electrical materials from cable, containment, distribution from Hager, Lighting from Ansell and JCC. We also obtained Lighting Control from Steinel, Wiring Accessories from BG Evolve & Thrion Matt Black.

The lighting was a real challenge for Ansell Lighting as they had never worked on a project of this size before with the Vasco product. Once the order was placed, and with a tight deadline rapidly approaching, we managed to get the goods air freighted in. This shows the dedication our suppliers have for our customers. All the hard work paid off though, the customer was delighted with the finished project and it exceeded their expectations.
